The main unit has a high operating load, which poses a threat to the main motor and electrical system. The intense friction that may occur between the main unit's screws, between the screws and the front and rear end faces, and between the screws and the main unit's casing will cause the operating load of the main unit to increase sharply. Additionally, the running load of severely worn bearings is also very high. As a result, the motor will be operating under an overloaded condition, which will seriously endanger the safe operation of the motor. In severe cases, if the electrical protection device of the air compressor unit is insensitive or fails, it may even lead to the motor burning out.
2. The exhaust volume of the air compressor will experience a significant reduction.
Poor coordination of the gap between the main unit and the auxiliary equipment can lead to a significant reduction in the efficiency of the main unit, resulting in a considerable decrease in the exhaust volume of the air compressor. This has an impact on the normal production of the users. Especially for those users with a relatively small margin for the exhaust volume of the air compressor, due to the decline in the exhaust volume of the air compressor, when the gas consumption of the gas-using system remains relatively stable, the pressure of the compressed air in the pipeline will drop significantly. This may cause the equipment in the gas-using system to malfunction or fail completely, thereby affecting the normal production of the unit or causing temporary shutdowns, resulting in losses for the enterprise.
3. The serious consequence is that the host system may suddenly "freeze" and become unresponsive.
In such cases, if the electrical protection system fails to respond promptly or its protection mechanism malfunctions, it could also cause serious damage to the main motor and the electrical system.
Regarding the handling of "host lock-up", on one hand, the maintenance cost for major repairs will be much higher than that of normal major repairs. On the other hand, due to the possible damage to the host components, the overall performance of the repaired host will be worse than that of a normally repaired host. However, if the damage to the host is so severe that it is no longer repairable or completely unrepairable, the only option is to scrap it and replace it with a new host. The direct loss in this case is considerable. Because the cost of a newly purchased host is usually about one-third of the cost of purchasing the entire air compressor unit, which is much higher than the normal maintenance cost of the host. And under normal circumstances, the overall technical performance of a host that passes the major repair is very similar to that of a new host!
Regular major maintenance of the mainframe is not only a basic requirement for equipment maintenance, but also a fundamental requirement for enterprises to control normal equipment maintenance costs, avoid unnecessary financial losses, and ensure the normal operation of the enterprise!
